x9000.com Blog site changes to using BlogEngine.Net v2.5

by Paul Prior 11. November 2011 13:02

The previous version of the x9000.com was built using SharePoint 2010 and using the blog template. It was okay, but it took an eternity to set up and went wrong at the drop of a hat.

Now I'm trying out BlogEngine v2.5, and my initial reaction is that it seems great. It took just 5 minutes to install and configure, and it also seems to handle all of the basic things I would expect from a blog.

I could have gone for the simple option of running it from WordPress, but that wouldn't help justify the huge fortune I spend on renting hosted servers on the internet.

Anyway, this is day one, lets see if my pleasure with this system continues.
